I'm always astonished by communal kitchens. I've been in plenty of staff rooms and churches where no one dares throw things out because they might belong to someone. So you get mouldering lunches and leftover communion grape juice and .......
This takes the cake.
Two weeks ago I decided to take something to church for morning tea for the little girl newly diagnosed with diabetes. I chose a little Holly Hobbie ramekin and filled it with strawberries and cucumber and carrot all cutely cut with my crinkly cutter. Topped with a nasturtium it looked good.
As I was about to leave I saw the bowl with just a few bits left and forgot to pick it up. The next week i went looking for it - in the fridge, in the cupboards - and asked all round. Perhaps someone had kidnapped it for sale on eBay!!Yesterday I found it - parked on a side bench in the hall complete with dried and desiccated bits of vegetable and flower. Would you believe it!!!
